'The Book of Mormon' is a nine-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical satire created by 'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone alongside 'Avenue Q' and 'Frozen' co-composer Robert Lopez. The irreverent comedy follows two mismatched Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missionaries, the devout Elder Price and the socially awkward, lie-prone Elder Cunningham, as they are deployed to a remote village in northern Uganda. Tasked with converting local villagers, the duo quickly discovers that their proselytizing pitch faces steep competition from severe local crises, including poverty, disease, and a brutal warlord.
